Hokkaido snowkite (Ishikari snow beach)

Perfect steady wind from ocean! Ishikari snow beach is perfect for Snowkiting. It takes around 40min from Sapporo city. You may use inflable kite instead of ram air kite.

The best season to visit, Middle of Dec to middle of March. The wind from North is perfect and always stable, but south wind (wind from city) will be really gusty. As you know Hokkaido winter is snowing often, so when it’s over 20knots and snowing, you cannot see anything. (Whiteout)
In that case, you can go the spot closer to Sapporo city.
It is Ebetsu city ⬇︎

The Snowkite spot in Ebetsu city is more convenient to access and great for beginners.


As you know, the local rule is more than law. I suggest to go through JPKA before you go, the local guys will support you the session.
