The most hard part is before take off. Even you are the advance rider you will have trouble to take off at larger swells (advance rider always like to go for big swell harder spot)
Of course smaller and lighter size of board is much better controlling after take off, but it will be too tired and forever you will jump on and off your board before get start at harder condition.
